Lie Detector & Proposal

Salam. Today my friends and I went to meet Sir Zulkifli. I show him what I find that the method to measure stress is quite same with lie detector.

I also find some information from this website. He said, the more relaxed you are, the dryer your skin will be and so the higher the skin's electrical resistance. When you are under stress your hand sweats and the the resistance goes down. The range is reported to 5K to 25K Ohms.

Then we discuss about the proposal. Sir told us the important things in proposal is to make introduction, problem statement, literature review, design methodology and Gantt Chart. For literature review, at least we find 5 pages, collect data, compare the data, and then summarize or make a conclusion.

Ok, that's all. I'll find sir next week, InsyaAllah...

SOLUSI - STRESS

My friend, Nabiha suggest to buy magazine, SOLUSI. She told me that magazine have some articles about my project, emotional stress indicator.

At the page 16, the article is written about the advantages of stress to Muslims. 

1. If we are not smart enough, we will study hard.

2. It will motivate us to try our best.

3. If we have disease, we will control our nutrition

But stress will interfere our digestion system in body. There are two types of stress, Eustress and Distress. Eustress is a controlled stress while distress is uncontrolled stress.

FIND THE TITLE

20 January 2012, Friday

I meet my supervisor to show him the title of Final Year Project. These are the list of the title:

1. Emotional Stress Indicator
2. Cough Monitoring System
3. Heartbeat Monitor with LCD Display

I explain to Sir Zul about the first title. When the indicator detect the stress, LED on and there is warning beep. This device uses skin response meter - resistance. If the person relax, the resistance is about 2 Mega Ohms. If the person stress, the resistance is below 500 kilo Ohms.

Sir Zul agree with my first topic. He asked me to find another reading (resistance) of stress and which part of the body can detect the stress. It will be my second job to do the work. So my project to do is EMOTIONAL STRESS INDICATOR.
